Crackler worked with Kent Woodcock to create the event branding (yes, the brief was to make it look like the Visit Newcastle brand) and develop a range of concepts for promotional material. Kudos to the crew who developed the Newcastle brand, it was a lot of fun to work with.
Coming together for the love of sun and surf.
The Surfest brand is closely tied to the Visit Newcastle branding, a deliberate nod to the city's love of this iconic event and desire to draw more people to the area to enjoy the beautiful beaches, sunshine and surf. As a major event on the Newcastle calendar, Surfest is partly responsible for the increase in tourism to the former steel city. The two main events and supporting events are all made possible with the support of Destination NSW, Maitland and Port Stephens Toyota and Newcastle City Council.
